Image Retoucher

The Role
As Image Retoucher, you will work directly with the Post Production Manager to create and manage KPI-driven post production processes for large volumes of ecommerce product photography. This will include taking both a hands-on approach and performing photo retouching in our studio, as well as building highly detailed editing templates and specs for freelancers and outsourced post-production partners.
There will be a high level of responsibility to perform quality control, production specific onboarding for ICs as well as overseeing ICs during production (i.e. answering questions, assigning ICs to specific jobs, etc.). Maintaining a high level of color accuracy and discernment while keeping calibration profiles on the post machines up to date is essential. It is important that this person can effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external departments to provide direction, support and maintain hard delivery deadlines.
Role Objectives
- Follow style guides, internal and external client notes and information to ensure productions have been retouched to spec
- Conduct photo retouching including wrinkle removal, color changes, mannequin and wire removals, composites, framing, and clipping paths.
- Develop detailed editing templates and specs to guide freelancers and 3rd party partners
- Recruit, train and direct freelancers and 3rd party partners
- Develop and maintain strict quality control standards
- Effectively navigate our CMS to locate production related information
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Post Production field
- Must be able to utilize a Wacom Tablet
- Advanced experience as a creative user of Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with relevant e-commerce photo and best practices
- Has detail-oriented eye for aesthetics, as well as assure quality to exact detail and delivery spec that follow all style guides
- Team player who can work independently, yet collaborate and take feedback from other team members
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a fast paced studio environment
- Willingness and desire to be in-studio, collaborating and working closely with other team members

Production Manager

The Role
As Production Manager, you will oversee our styling and photography departments, working closely with our department leads and their production teams of contract photographers and stylists. You will be overseeing our recruiting, training and education/assessment programs within both departments to ensure that we are growing a qualified roster with the knowledge and skills required to perform in our studio. Building a highly engaged and supported community of contractors is important to us and our success as a company. You will be accountable for our production teams on-set performance, ensuring that we are meeting our client’s creative requirements while achieving daily productivity and throughput targets.
At ShowLabs, we are managing several, overlapping client-specific productions on a weekly basis. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and implementing our week-to-week production plans. This will include tracking production numbers on a daily basis, and adjusting schedules as needed to ensure we are meeting our planned and forecasted timelines and budget. You will collaborate with our photography and styling leads to ensure we are staffing the appropriate freelancers booked for each production.
It’s imperative that our staffed production teams are set up for success with access to the right client-specific production information, materials and visual guidance. You will collaborate with other teams through various production planning phases and ensure that these materials meet our needs. You’ll have a particular focus on ensuring our lighting techniques, styling strategies, and equipment requirements are planned and standardized effectively for each client production.
The Production Manager will report to the Director of Operations and will work very closely with the Creative Director. The right candidate is a team player, responsive to feedback, can creatively problem-solve, and will be driven to create efficiencies within the department.
Role Objectives
- Understand, build, and improve studio production capabilities
- Oversee the training and assessment programs within both the Photography and Styling departments
- Training, education, and engagement strategy of the teams you will be managing, through Photography and Styling
- Manage contractor agreements and performance
- Build and maintain our roster of contractors
- Oversee the scheduling of our contractor production teams
- Evaluate and improve on-set performance on all production stations to achieve and exceed daily productivity goals
- Creating and modify, when necessary, the studio production schedule across all clients. This will include daily evaluations on productivity performance and where we need to pivot in order to complete productions on time and within budget
- Strategize and build production schedules per seasonal client per production station
- Collaboration with client success, creative, studio and post-production teams
- Become an expert in ShowLabs photography hardware and software we build and integrate to run our studio workflows, and also
- Introduce more efficient ways to run our systems in collaboration with the Lead Photographer and Lead Stylist
- Support the Director of Operations in forecasting studio capacity
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Production Management
- In-depth understanding of ecommerce content production including photography, styling, studio and merchandise management, etc.
- 3+ years in team management including career development, weekly meetings and performance evaluation
- Photography and video lighting expertise within an ecommerce studio environment
- Experience scheduling and managing complex studio productions and/or project calendars week to week
- Extremely diligent in planning, communicating, and executing a studio production plan
- Experience collaborating with creatives including photographers and stylists
- Experience managing contracted production teams and driving performance and quality requirements
- Ability to adapt to new studio processes, hardware, and software with an open mind while also offering new ideas to your department

Freelance Casting Director

The Role
We are looking for a talented and experienced freelance Casting Director to collaborate with our ecommerce photo studio. As the Casting Director, you will be responsible for sourcing and selecting models with diverse looks and the right fit for our client’s aesthetic and brand guidelines. Your keen eye for talent and ability to match models to specific productions will play a critical role in creating compelling visuals that resonate with our clients.
Role Objectives
- Model Selection: Identify and recruit models with a wide range of appearances, ethnicities, body types, and age groups, ensuring inclusivity and diversity in representation.
- Brand Alignment: Understand our client’s brand identity, style, and target audience to select models who best align with their customers.
- Casting Calls: Organize and conduct casting calls (either in-person or virtually)

Client Success Manager

The Role
As the Client Success Manager at ShowLabs, you will be the primary point of contact through all client lifecycle phases, from onboarding and production to retention and renewal. This role combines client-facing relationship management, creative project management and information and data management to ensure all parties and stakeholders are set up for success. This includes building and maintaining highly visual creative briefs and production guides that capture creative brand requirements and visual content strategy that we shape with our clients. Freelance Ecommerce Stylist – Photo & Video Production

The Role
ShowLabs is looking for seasoned ecommerce stylists. The ideal candidate has experience working with leading outdoor and fashion brands and has a keen sense for how their products are marketed and sold to retail buyers and consumers. They will be creative and inventive in generating and executing new ideas to help evolve the way our client’s showcase their products in digital and virtual environments.
Our clients’ sample line can be anywhere from 200 – 2000 SKU’s for one production and includes a range from clothing, backpacks, footwear, gloves, and outdoor gear. Experience with rigging, propping, and filling out the product with the proper styling tools is necessary. Problem solving skills are very important, as we handle a diverse range of products that require a dynamic solutions-based mindset.
The Stylist will work closely with the Creative Team to ensure the product is moving through the production line at the proper pace while meeting the Client-Approved Creative Kit requirements.
The production pace in the studio is quick, efficient, and smooth; to meet client deadlines and demand there will be multiple productions running at the same time. This person will have skills in leadership and be able to train the assistant stylist assisting them in the techniques on the production they are working on to better accomplish the desired end-look of the product being shot in the most time-efficient manner.
