Digital Asset Manager

The Role
Our Post Production team is looking to add a multitalented role to our roster. We’re seeking someone who has a passion for photography and post production, and the skills to perform several supporting tasks to the core post production workflow. As a high volume studio, we’re producing several projects concurrently, and we’re seeking someone with a wide range of skills who can fill in gaps and take care of various production issues as they arise, without having to spin off tasks to specialists. This Post Production generalist role would report directly to the Post Production Manager, and would have responsibilities rooted in DAM and archiving skills, with the supporting photo and video editing knowledge to solve common issues.
Role Objectives
- Manage photo and video assets independently and confidently to ensure correct file management, from naming and specifications through distribution and archiving.
- Ensure that all deliverables have gone through quality control measures, match the technical specs, match our retouch spec, and maintain the proper layer structure.
- Work within Creative Force, our workflow management system, to ensure assets are staged correctly for others to complete the core editing work.
- Problem-solve basic retouching issues that arise during the final delivery preparation phase, from file type and scaling discrepancies, background and shadow problems that arise during scripting and automation, and process troubleshooting.
- Drive the progress, growth and maturity of our asset management practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Post Production/digital asset management field
- Past experience working inside of project management suites and a sound understanding of their relationship to DAM
- Fluent in file naming and archival best practices and enforcement
- Working knowledge of Excel
- High level of organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience working with Ecommerce photography and video, and an understanding of target aesthetics.
- Clear understanding of Photoshop basics and best practices with ability to retouch and edit images. Experience with complex actions and scripting is very beneficial.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities
- Team player with a positive attitude who can work independently, yet collaborate and take feedback from other team members
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a startup environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic video editing skills such as rotoscoping and color correction
- Rudimentary coding experience is not required, but appreciated (Python)
Compensation
- Annual salary compensation of $70,000 – $80,000

Ecommerce Stylist (freelance)

The Role
ShowLabs is looking for seasoned ecommerce stylists. The ideal candidate has experience working with leading outdoor and fashion brands and has a keen sense for how their products are marketed and sold to retail buyers and consumers. They will be creative and inventive in generating and executing new ideas to help evolve the way our client’s showcase their products in digital and virtual environments.
Our clients’ sample line can be anywhere from 200 – 2000 SKU’s for one production and includes a range from clothing, backpacks, footwear, gloves, and outdoor gear. Experience with rigging, propping, and filling out the product with the proper styling tools is necessary. Problem solving skills are very important, as we handle a diverse range of products that require a dynamic solutions-based mindset.
The Stylist will work closely with the Creative Team to ensure the product is moving through the production line at the proper pace while meeting the Client-Approved Creative Kit requirements.
The production pace in the studio is quick, efficient, and smooth; to meet client deadlines and demand there will be multiple productions running at the same time. This person will have skills in leadership and be able to train the assistant stylist assisting them in the techniques on the production they are working on to better accomplish the desired end-look of the product being shot in the most time-efficient manner.

Role Objectives
- Collaborates with Creative Leads, Producer, and Styling Teams to ensure efficiency in daily shot counts previously communicated by team
- Communicates processes, standards, and oversees the assistant working beneath them
- Maintains brand guidelines with familiarity of brand and styling techniques based on the client-specific Creative Kit provided
- Ability to style different product types ranging from apparel, footwear, accessories, hardware, and hard goods.
- Ability to style of different production types (pin board, flat lay, on-model, tabletop, and mannequin
- Capable of prioritizing and organizing workload to follow production schedule
Qualifications
- 3+ years working as professional stylist
- Expertise and knowledge in product styling for apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment brands
- Self-motivated and able to multitask under tight deadlines
- A positive and enthusiastic personality
- Outstanding follow-up, detail-oriented, strong organizational and communication skills

Image Retoucher (freelance)

The Role
As Image Retoucher, you will work directly with the Post Production Manager to create and manage KPI-driven post production processes for large volumes of ecommerce product photography. This will include taking both a hands-on approach and performing photo retouching in our studio, as well as building highly detailed editing templates and specs for freelancers and outsourced post-production partners.
There will be a high level of responsibility to perform quality control, production specific onboarding for ICs as well as overseeing ICs during production (i.e. answering questions, assigning ICs to specific jobs, etc.). Maintaining a high level of color accuracy and discernment while keeping calibration profiles on the post machines up to date is essential. It is important that this person can effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external departments to provide direction, support and maintain hard delivery deadlines.
Role Objectives
- Follow style guides, internal and external client notes and information to ensure productions have been retouched to spec
- Conduct photo retouching including wrinkle removal, color changes, mannequin and wire removals, composites, framing, and clipping paths.
- Develop detailed editing templates and specs to guide freelancers and 3rd party partners
- Recruit, train and direct freelancers and 3rd party partners
- Develop and maintain strict quality control standards
- Effectively navigate our CMS to locate production related information
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Post Production field
- Must be able to utilize a Wacom Tablet
- Advanced experience as a creative user of Adobe Photoshop
- Experience with relevant ecommerce photo and best practices
- Has detail-oriented eye for aesthetics, as well as assure quality to exact detail and delivery spec that follow all style guides
- Team player who can work independently, yet collaborate and take feedback from other team members
- Eagerness to learn and thrive in a fast paced studio environment
- Willingness and desire to be in-studio, collaborating and working closely with other team members
- (Nice to Have) Experience in Adobe Illustrator
